This is a really interesting article and makes you think about prescription drugs.
Once you get over 4 different drugs there is no way the doctors and pharmaceutical companies can know what the side effects are going to be. There are just too many variations and each person can react differently too. My wonderful father was on a massive cocktail of drugs for his heart and was taken into hospital due to side effects. They took him off all his drugs and guess what? It turned out he didn't need most of what he was being prescribed. The only people gaining from this culture, which we must change is the shareholders of the large corporations that supply these drugs. Have a read of Big Pharma by Ben Goldacre. I thought my eyes were open before I read it, but realised I was just peeping out. A must read for anyone who thinks pharmaceutical companies have our best interests at heart. We need to start taking control of our health and accepting "we are the sum total of everything we have ever done to our bodies". Sounds scary but when I realised that I also realised I was the one who had control to change for the good and improve my health.
