Retreat Terms and Conditions
A deposit of 25% will secure your place on a retreat, and payment in full is due 2 weeks before the start date. If a booking is made less than 4 weeks before the arrival date full payment will be due immediately. You can pay by bank transfer or PayPal request. Once you have paid a deposit you will receive an email confirming your payment has been processed successfully. I will contact you within 7 days (most likely sooner) via e-mail and ask you to complete a short registration and booking form. If you think you have not received an e-mail from me please check your spam folder or get in touch. By reserving your place you are confirming that you have read and accept my terms and conditions.
I reserve the right to reallocate your space on my retreat if monies due are more than 7 days in arrears, whereupon any monies paid by you over and above 25% of the total reservation value will be refunded. However, if I’m unable to reallocate a space then you will remain liable for the outstanding balance of the cost of your retreat.
Should you cancel your retreat more than 4 weeks before your arrival date, any payment received will be refunded less the deposit of 25% of the total cost of the booking.
Should a cancellation occur less than 4 weeks before arrival date there shall be no refund. Please take out adequate travel insurance.
IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH accepts no responsibility for personal injury to you or loss of or damage to your property, or for other matters over which IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH has no control.
In the event of the accommodation becoming unavailable (e.g. through force majeure or if it becomes unfit or unsafe for clients, or through circumstances outside the control of IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH) IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH will endeavour to provide suitable alternative accommodation or will refund all monies paid or a proportion in the case of curtailment.
Whilst every effort will be made not to, IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH reserves the right to change retreat teachers to other suitably experienced individuals or to reduce the number of teachers on a retreat.
Should you cancel your Retreat then any money paid will be non-refundable UNLESS we manage to find a replacement for you then no cancellation charges will apply and you will receive a full refund.
Inclusive in the price are all meals (except dinner, although this can be arranged at the hotel for a small extra charge), accommodation, teaching and retreat materials.
Your personal belongings are your responsibility during your time with me. I will offer reasonable help to assist you in tracing lost items.
You are responsible for your behaviour during your retreat and I will create a safe space for you. In the unlikely case of behaviour that is aggressive, offensive, illegal or unacceptable for any other reason you may be asked to leave immediately. No refunds or compensation will be given in these circumstances and I reserve the right not to accept any future bookings from you.
Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure you have comprehensive travel/cancellation insurance cover and that it is adequate for your needs. I strongly advise that you take out cancellation insurance in case you should need to cancel a retreat due to ill health or any other insurable reason.
Associates working with IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH are obliged to maintain full professional indemnity and public liability insurance. All work within IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH is on a self-employed basis and as such IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH is not liable for any negligence of these self-employed practitioners.
In the unlikely event that you have cause for complaint whilst on an IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH retreat you must immediately bring it to the attention of the retreat leader. If you fail to do so it deprives IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH of the opportunity to investigate the complaint and to do my best to rectify it. If IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH are unable to resolve matters whilst you are on retreat and you remain dissatisfied then you must write to or e-mail IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH within 28 days of your return with full details of the complaint. IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH will do their best to investigate and reply to you within 28 days of receipt of the correspondence.
All electronic data remains the property of IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH and may not be replicated in part or whole without prior permission.
All the information collected and held about you will be stored on a confidential computer and other filing systems. I collect and keep information about you to enable me to administer Improve Your Health and provide you with information about my future activities. If you do not wish to be contacted me please let me know.
This agreement and any dispute between us will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England, Wales and Ireland. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England, Wales and Ireland over any matter arising out of our agreement of Improve Your Health. We must both act reasonably in selecting or agreeing any jurisdiction including any forum for dispute resolution.
I strongly advise that you take out cancellation insurance in case you need to cancel your Improve Your Health due to ill health, adverse weather or any other insurable reason.
Please let me know as soon as possible if you need to cancel your booking as there may be other client waiting for a place on the retreat, which will enable you to have a full refund.
